CPR / FIRST AID - JULY 30, 2009 - 8:00 AM - 1:00 PM - ALPHARETTA, GA

This CPR / First Aid Gives individuals the knowledge and skills necessary to recognize and provide basic care for breathing, cardiac emergencies, injuries and sudden illnesses, including how to use an automated external defibrillator (AED) for victims of sudden cardiac arrest, until advanced medical personnel arrive and take over.

Instructors for this course are authorized trainers through the National Safety Council. This course will cover the following topics:

• Basic Life Support (CPR) for Adults and Children
• Acting in an Emergency
• First Aid for Choking Victims
• First Aid for Heart Attach Victims
• Preventing Desease Transmission
• Bleeding and Wound Care
• First aid for Shock Victims
• First aid for Burn Victims
• Bone, Joint and Muscle Injury Care
• First Aid for Sudden Illness
• First Aid for Accidental Poisoning
• First Aid for Cold and Heat Emergencies
• Rescuing and Moving Victims
• A/E/D Use and Care

Participants will receive a course completion certification card from the National Safety Council.

Take 75/85 North to route 400 North
Take 400 North to Exit 11 (Windward Pkwy)
Turn right on Windward Pkwy to Alderman Drive
Turn left on Alderman Drive to 1121 Alderman Drive
Turn right at 1121 and the Training Center is on the left
Go the the back of the building (Lower Level)
